Lives and works in Guatemala City since 1991.

 

Member of the Society of Jesus since 1964. Literature and Philosophy graduated from the University of Fordham, The Bronx, New York (1969). He received private painting classes in New York (1970-1973) and studied Theology at the Weston School of Theology in Cambridge Massachusetts (1973 – 1977).

 

He participated in the Program for Independent Studies at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York (1976). He was in charge of a studio at the Centre for the Experimental Art, PS1, Long Island City, New York (1978 – 1980).

 

He had different collective exhibitions in Guatemala, New York, Italy, Holland and recently in the exhibition called “Guatemala from 33,000 km: Contemporary Art 1960-Present” at the Contemporary Art Museum of Santa Barbara, California (2016-2017).

His artwork is part of the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and of private collections in the United States and Guatemala.
