Galería Sol del Río presents the new exhibition “When Forms Become Attitudes,” a group show organized by artist Gabriel Rodríguez, featuring the participation of Antonio Pichilla, Sergio Valencia, Andrea Mármol, Inés Verdugo, Manuel Chavajay, Francisco Pérez Lam, and Rodríguez himself.

When Forms Become Attitudes is an exercise in contrasting discourses, in which each participating artist has a specific way of resolving their work. Within these pieces we can read different languages that allow us to engage in dialogue and perceive an attitude toward life. According to the RAE (Real Academia Española), attitude is “the disposition of one’s state of mind manifested in some way.” For Gabriel, attitudes are themselves ways of approaching reality, where each artist reveals fragments of their unconscious, their awareness, and the way they relate to their interests.

Thus, in this world of forms and attitudes, we navigate day by day. This is how Sol del Río’s exhibition unfolds—presenting, with its own distinct character, the reality of a context shaped by time and by us, the viewers. Both form and attitude are intangible, and so too is the dialogue that these artworks generate with one another and with the spectator within the gallery space.

We immerse ourselves in a context influenced and shaped by forms that gradually inhabit our identity and culture. This space invites dialogue, allowing us to encounter parallel and divergent attitudes that lead us to establish deeply personal relationships with both the artwork and the environment.
