Lives and works in Guatemala since 1960.
She studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts, San José State University, California. She also studied with Margot Fanjul and Danny Schafer.
She has presented ten solo shows in Guatemala and has participated in seventy-six collective exhibitions, in Guatemala and in different cities of the United States. Her work won the Honourable Mention, painting category, at the Subasta de Arte Latinoamericano Juannio in 1970, the Unique Prize, conceptual art category, in 1971 and the Honourable Mention, conceptual art category, in 1972. In 2008, the G&T Foundation and the Alexander Von Humboldt Cultural Association awarded her with the Foreign Artist of the Year Medal. In 2010, the Junkabal organization honoured her as Artist of the Year.
Her work is part of important private collections in Argentina, Brazil, United States, Guatemala, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. Her work is also part of the Miami Metropolitan Museum collection, the Universities of Auburn and Alabama collections, and the J. Walter Thompson and Associates’ collection. In the 2013 she was invited to be part of the First Bienal del Sur, in Panama.
